Complete Care - Integrative Physical Medicine
Complete Care is a network of physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics servicing Central and West Florida. Our areas of focus are patients who have either experienced auto accidents or slip and falls. Physical therapy is provided daily, striving to have every patient recover with minimal injuries.

Complete Care consists of three main entities; Spine and Ortho, for surgeries; Centers for Imaging, for MRIs and diagnostic imaging; and Injury Care and Rehab, for physiotherapy.

At Complete Care, we strive to provide the best quality of care possible through compassion, empathy, and stewardship.
Reflection
Looking back, my most meaningful experience regarding Knights in the World would be having a full-time job working around 30 hours per week. As a chiropractic assistant, I assist patients with physical therapy and play an essential role to the doctors prescribing their care. On top of this, I assist with exams as well as any clerical work that may need to be completed. I work this job in conjunction with going to school during the week.

Some skills that I gained from having a full-time job include acknowledging responsibility, assessing readiness for promotion, adhering to company policy, prioritizing tasks, coping with setbacks, preparing for career transitions, making ethical decisions, and modeling integrity.

One example where I learned these skills at my job is when I was faced with an ethical dilemma. A patient’s mother was asking if her daughter was coming in to treat for a car accident and if we could share the results of the daughter’s pregnancy test, if so. While I can understand the mother’s concern, I told her that it would be a violation of HIPAA to discuss anything of that matter with her unless there were specific signed documents stating we could share medical records and history.

I was able to adapt these skills in a different context by volunteering with my church’s Girl’s Ministry program. Here, I would give weekly lessons on different topics to girls ranging in age from 9 to 13. I would lead lectures and teach them many principles and stories that pertained to the bible. While I was not getting paid, I still developed the same sense of work ethic by adopting a multidimensional approach towards a common goal. Modeling integrity and prioritizing weekly tasks were the main skills that I developed throughout my time volunteering at the church.

In the future, I plan to apply these skills in a new context by eventually opening my own clinic. Working from a young age and currently, has set me on the path to success of creating that solidified sense of pride in the work that I produce. Knowing that I can continuously make improvements to my work ethic constantly pushes me to be better than I was the day before.

These learned skills tie back into my plans of running a women’s shelter. On top of wanting to be an OBGYN, I would like to utilize my spare time by running a shelter for women in need of resources, whether that be reproductive, psychological, emotional, or physical. In order to run a shelter, I need to have a strong-willed mindset and productive work ethic.
